Structural Integrity Inspection of the Viotikos Kifisos Bridge on the Athens–Thessaloniki National Highway
Our company undertook the project following a contract with GEK TERNA, with the objective of inspecting the structural integrity of the reinforced concrete bridge using semi-destructive methods. Specifically, the work included:
- Complete recording and mapping of cracks in the prestressed beams
- Extraction of Φ100 cores using a core drill
- Exposure of prestressing tendons at various points along the beams
- Use of a digital level to calculate the current deformed elevation of the deck
