Spinalonga Island: Restoration of the Stonework of the Eastern Wall
Our ability to access hard-to-reach areas using rope access techniques, along with our professional expertise as civil engineers, was applied in the structural integrity inspection of the metal roofs at the Pancretan and Panachaiko stadiums.
For the inspection of the trusses, the following NDT methods were employed:
- The ultrasonic method for sampling the thickness of metal sections at critical points of the structure,
- Penetrant liquids for inspecting the welds,
- A torque wrench to check the tightness of bolts.
